Robuschi (part of Ingersoll Rand) is the Italian specialist in blowers and vacuum pumps for heavy industry. AVA supplies Robuschi in Vietnam and handles delivery, installation, alignment and post-hand-over maintenance.
The three families and where each fits
- ROBOX (positive-displacement lobe blowers): high flow at low pressure, simple construction, tolerant of dusty gas. This is the most common choice for wastewater aeration basins and pneumatic conveying of bulk material.
- RBS (screw blowers): internal compression gives higher efficiency than a lobe blower at the same working pressure, with clear energy savings on 24/7 duty, at a higher initial investment.
- RVS (liquid-ring vacuum pumps): water as the sealing medium lets them handle wet, dusty or corrosive gas that a dry pump cannot; typical in paper, chemical, ceramic and food plants.
Three things to watch during installation
- Alignment and belt tension: misalignment is the main cause of broken bearings and cracked shafts. AVA measures vibration at hand-over and keeps it as the baseline for later maintenance visits.
- Relief and check valves: a blower is easily damaged by a blocked discharge or by reverse flow on a sudden stop.
- Demand-based control: an inverter plus a dissolved-oxygen signal (for aeration) makes the air flow follow the real load instead of over-blowing all day.
