Camozzi ISO and Standard Pneumatic Cylinders

Pneumatically driven cylinders cover many different product ranges, serving applications that require linear movement and applications that require rotary movement.

Depending on the type, we can supply ISO or non-standard actuators. All the actuators have a modern design and have been developed to save space and weight.

Within the same product range there may be different construction types to meet the needs of different sectors. To ensure specific applications are met, a range of accessories has been created for mounting components or increasing their performance.

1. Series 16, 23, 24 and 25 cylinders

The series 16, 23, 24 and 25 cylinders are designed to ISO 6432. Three different cushioning types can be chosen: mechanical (standard cushioning on Series 16 and 24), adjustable pneumatic cushioning (series 25) and self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning (series 23). With the latter, a system automatically adjusts the cushioning to deliver optimum deceleration throughout the cushioning phase. The cylinder moves smoothly, without judder, reducing vibration and noise while ensuring high reliability and constant performance over time.

The engineering solutions applied and the choice of materials have created the basis for a versatile and highly reliable range of mini cylinders. They are suitable for use in countless industrial applications, particularly where operating conditions change over time, such as wear of machine parts. Various mounting accessories are available to fix the cylinder in different ways.

Characteristics:

  • Single and double acting
  • Conforms to ISO 6432
  • Stainless steel rod and barrel
  • Anodised aluminium end blocks
  • Cushioning types: mechanical cushioning, self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning, adjustable pneumatic cushioning

2. Series 40 cylinders

The Series 40 cylinders are designed to ISO 15552 and the former DIN / ISO 6431 - VDMA 24562 standards. A permanent magnet on the piston of these cylinders can send electrical signals through switches mounted on the cylinder to indicate its position.

This range is normally fitted with end-of-stroke cushioning, adjustable through a screw on the end block. To soften the impact of the piston on the end block, these cylinders are also fitted with mechanical cushioning.

Characteristics:

  • Conforms to ISO 15552 and the former DIN / ISO 6431 - VDMA 24562 standards.
  • Adjustable pneumatic cushioning
  • Stainless steel barrel (Ø 160 - 200 mm)
  • Chrome-plated steel rod (Ø 250 - 320 mm)

3. Series 41 cylinders - aluminium profile

The Series 41 cylinders with 160 and 200 mm bores are designed to comply with the dimensions laid down in DIN / ISO 6431. The aluminium barrel in this range is highly attractive.

The mounting used on the end of the barrel is designed to be extremely secure, making use of the cylinder's tie rods, which are positioned internally and are not visible on assembled cylinders. This cylinder range is normally fitted with adjustable cushioning. Furthermore, to reduce the noise caused by the impact of the piston and the end cap, these cylinders are fitted with mechanical cushioning.

4. Series 61 cylinders - aluminium profile

The Series 61 cylinders conform to ISO 15552 and can be assembled with the full range of standard accessories. A permanent magnet mounted on the piston in these cylinders allows the piston position to be detected by switches fitted in slots along the cylinder profile. These slots can be covered with caps.

This cylinder range is fitted with adjustable end-of-stroke cushioning. They are also fitted with mechanical cushioning to soften the impact of the piston as it reaches the end of its stroke.
