1. What is an oil filter?

Busch filters for vacuum pumps are one of the necessary and important parts of a vacuum pump. The Busch filter's job is to separate out dirt, foreign objects and debris, ensuring the vacuum pump works at its best.

   3. Genuine Busch STF 0100 - 1000 upright filters

The upright filter is placed on the inlet side of the vacuum pump and protects it from damage caused by contaminants during operation, such as liquids or solids.

Different sizes, materials and filter inserts allow it to be matched to each process.

The upright filter is connected to the vacuum pump by a hose or pipe. The vertical design allows space-saving installation.

The removable cover makes it easy to take out the filter inserts for tipping. In addition, the lower part of the upright filter is easily accessible for cleaning through a large side opening.

5. How it works.

The Busch STF upright filter combines several separation mechanisms in a multi-stage process. The filter housing is designed as a cyclone at the gas inlet (1). The gas inlet has an offset conical shape that lets the gas or vapour flow along the inside of the vessel. Small particles and liquids are separated at this stage. After passing through the filter insert, the cleaned gas or vapour leaves the upright filter through the gas outlet (2).

A large opening (3) makes it easy to fit additional filters. Collected condensate can be drained through the condensate drain (4). The condensate collection chamber can be cleaned through the cleaning port (5). Other application-specific versions are available, for example with an automatic condensate drain or in stainless steel.
