Ultima™ is CompAir's groundbreaking oil-free PureAir screw compressor with a unique design. This is a completely new series of compressors and it uses low-pressure and high-pressure dry screws. Each airflow is individually controlled by a variable-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor, providing a level of efficiency superior to traditional oil-free technology.

Ultima compressors are 100% oil-free and meet ISO 8573-1 Class Zero (2010) standards, making them the ideal choice for stringent oil-free applications in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics and automotive industries. What makes this compressor line unique is that it does not have a gearbox. Ultima uses an ultra-high-performance direct-drive motor that replaces a gearbox and single motor, which optimizes performance across the complete volume range, as airflows can be controlled at different speeds depending on demand. This cannot happen with a single engine driving both paths together. This is a characteristic that makes Ultima very difficult to defeat.

Internal structure of ultima oil-free screw compressor
Ultima uses an intelligent "digital gearbox" design that continuously monitors and independently adjusts the speed of each airflow, ensuring maximum performance and pressure ratio at all times. When any adjustable speed compressor reaches its minimum speed, it will idle. For any compressor, this is wasted energy. Ultima uses 45% less energy when idling than a conventional two-stage compressor, and the 160kW compressor uses only 8 kW when idling.
